For years, while building a 20-year career in the corporate world, I was stuck in chronic overdrive, I just didnt realise it.
Corporate life was busy. It was stressful. I worked for blue-chip companies, agencies, and consultancies where the expectations were already sky-high. But I actually made them even higher by self-imposed standards. I pushed myself so hard, I wanted to impress, I wanted to be the best, I wanted to prove I could do it.
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia back in 2008, which later evolved into Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and eventually Long Covid. It was a lot to handle while juggling the constant demands of my career.
What I now know is that these conditions were all different manifestations of nervous system burnout.
Once I had my lightbulb moment and I realised all my symptoms were connected to my autonomic nervous system, I was able to heal myself and recover.
I was then compelled to share what I learnt with high achievers like you so you don't crash and burn like I did or spend years navigating debilitating symptoms.
